Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf (GCC) from the point of view of the development of high technologies as an alternative to resource development. In modern conditions, it is technological advances that ensure long-term sustainable development. The author identifies the features of the development of the high-tech segment in the GCC in the XXI century, as well as the problems and prospects of this process. The experience of high-tech development of the GCC countries is of scientific and applied importance for many resource-rich countries of the world. The author of the article notes that an important role in the implementation of the tasks of high-tech development of the Persian Gulf countries is played by regional economic integration, which contributes to the unification of efforts and provides a synergistic effect in the field of high-tech development.
