Abstract
In an editorial note, the Chief Scientific Editor of the journal and the Scientific Secretary of the Scien-tific and Methodological Council for Environmental Engineering and Water Use discusses the topical and most pressing problems of the academic year ended 2020/2021, which took place in the difficult conditions of the global pandemic of the Covid-19 coronavirus and the forced combination of remote and part-time formats of organizing the educational process in various situations of quarantine restrictions and conducting mass vaccination. Separately, the author drew attention to the urgent tasks of further development and pro-motion of the journal "Vestnik NMS".
