Abstract

The article considers the cognitive dimension of education as testing space that forms the horizons of the reality perception and the criteria of truth. The author emphasizes that the process of forming cognition subject has existential consequences, knowledge acquisition acts as acquisition of self-being. The paper notes dangerous trends in modern education transformations associated with the subject’s infantilization, creation of illusory ideas about his/her cognitive status.
