Abstract

Many spercies of bacteria are natural endosymbiont of animals, including invertebrates, both from aquatic and terrestrial biotopes. Endosymbionts play an important role in preserving the vital activity of bacteria. This article summarizes the data on the physiological relationship of helminths of endosymbiotic bacteria, and also presents the role of the latter in the vital activity of the parasite.
