Abstract

Abstract. The article is devoted to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Yakut ASSR, the formation of the phthisiological service in Yakutia. Professor M.A. Tyrilgin wrote a lot about tuberculosis in Yakutia: "Tuberculosis has been known to the indigenous inhabitants of Yakutia for a long time…Because the pathology existing on Earth has been the "heritage" of all mankind since time immemorial." As you know, in the fight against tuberculosis, it is very important for the government to have the political will and political commitment to organize the fight against tuberculosis. This was also the case in the young Soviet Republic of Yakutia in the early 1920s, where the leaders were sincerely concerned about the state of the problem of tuberculosis infection of the population of Yakutia. On June 29, 1950, the Yakut branch of the Institute of Tuberculosis of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences was opened. The first director was appointed health organizer E.N. Andreev.A lot of organizational work was carried out to invite doctors and scientists to YAFIT, search and construction of houses for invited doctors. Five stages of the development of the TB service are considered. For the first time in the country, an expeditionary method of examining the population of the republic for tuberculosis was developed. The composition of the expedition group included: bacteriologist for laboratory examination on MBT, radiologist with fluorograph, specialists for tuberculin diagnostics. All remote areas were covered, special attention was paid to the Far North. Methods of anti-tuberculosis measures in urban and rural areas were also developed, which served as the basis for several government initiatives. Overcoming all difficulties and periods of recession in the country and the republic, the republican tuberculosis service became centralized with the main institution - the E.N. Andreev Phthisiology Research Center, develops and continues the traditions laid down in the early 1920s.
