Abstract
This article considers such issues as the significance of the internationalization of the RMB for China and foreign countries, its pros and cons, the relationship between RMB internationalization and the opening of the capital account in China. Also, the article gives a detailed examination of the sufficiency of the conditions for the internationalization of the RMB and the transformation of the RMB into an international currency. Considerable emphasis is placed on the peculiarities of the modern development of the international monetary space.
