The article discusses the organisational framework which underpins digitalisation of cultural heritage and institutions of children’s art culture of Kyrgyzstan. The article also discusses the first steps which have been taken to carry out digitalisation. The author’s analysis is placed in the context of digitalisation goals set by the government of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the creation of favorable conditions for the development of human capital and providing citizens with access to information, knowledge and cultural values through virtual space as one of the priorities. The development of digital infrastructure and the introduction of modern technologies in the field of art is becoming especially relevant in connection with the creation of a unified digital platform Sanarip Kyrgyzstan (Digital Kyrgyzstan). The article briefly analyses the work on the introduction and development of digital skills in the Republican Library for Children and Youth named after K. Bayalinova as one of the most important tasks of Sanarip Kyrgyzstan. Particular attention is also paid to the process of digitising library collections through which the transmission of cultural property and cultural heritage is carried out. In this light, digitalisation of libraries is a priority. The monitoring data indicates that the process of digitalisation of libraries, especially in the regions, is developing slowly and unevenly. At the regional level, cultural education is underdeveloped. The National electronic open library (Lib.kg) was created to provide residents of remote regions access to books, archives, valuable materials, etc. The internet is one of the phenomena of the 21st century, since it has become an integral part of our life and the main source of information and communication. Its use in all areas is notable and important. The article presents the goals and objectives and the process of digitalisation carried out within the framework of the concept of digital transformation “Digital Kyrgyzstan 2023”, as well as the axiological aspect of digitalisation.
