Abstract

The article deals with the methodology of research on changes in the natural environment against the background of specific anthropogenic activities. For this purpose, the composition and effectiveness of the system of land reclamation, water management and fisheries management measures of the Volga-Akhtuba River are considered. The existing regulatory and methodological documents are used as a regulatory framework for the quantitative assessment of economic and environmental effects and damages. As a criteri-on for the overall effectiveness of various scenarios for the development of complex reclamation of the Vol-ga-Akhtuba floodplain, a single criterion is used – the value of net discounted income (BPD).
