Abstract

The popularity of web animation and the expansion of the target audience have promoted the change of the form of visual content, and gradually become a new way of communication and interaction between animation creator and audience. This change of form also points out the future direction for development of web animation. The purpose of the study is to establish a framework of the expression mode, interrelationship and influence mechanism of these forms of content by analyzing the multiple fusion of visual content in classic works of Chinese web animation and the influence of the new forms on the audience's cognitive experience in the context of the times. The study findings demonstrate that situating the creation process of web animation within cultural and social contexts can establish a mutual reinforcement between images and meanings.
