Abstract

The article gives a characteristic of national choreographic schools, such as Italian, French and Russian ones, which form a basis of world ballet art. In the Italian choreographic style, richness of rhythm, visual appeal, typicalness are highlighted. Cantilena nature, details of phrasing, emotional romanticism are typical of the French choreographic school. The Russian ballet art is characterized by melodiousness of dance lines and psychological richness of content. P. I. Tchaikovsky’s ballets are noted, in which the synthesis of musical and choreographic narration-action is carried out.
