Abstract

The research is devoted to the study of Huang Ji’s chamber vocal work. The paper aims to reveal the functions of musical intonation in modelling the image of a man in the composer’s chamber vocal work. The scientific originality of the research consists in determining the functions of musical intonation in reflection of the world of a man in the composer’s vocal works. As a result, it has been concluded that the blending of the elements of European and national style is subordinated to the exploration of universal philosophical topics that bother the composer. The musical intonation performs symbolic and modelling functions in the process.
