Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of instructors and learners in university classes using the ZEP Metaverse platform. To achieve this, D University conducted a focus group interview with four Metaverse experts to develop an educational Metaverse platform proposal. Subsequently, the plan was reviewed twice by eight Metaverse experts, and the platform was developed in cooperation with the development team. Five classes, including an orientation session, were conducted in the graduate program of D University in the second semester of 2022, and data was collected online by dividing them into quantitative and qualitative evaluation items. As a result of the study, it was found that learners and instructors improved interaction between users through the use of the Metaverse, and the interesting environment had a positive effect on the class, but there were inconveniences due to problems caused by technical problems.
