Abstract

Among the ironware excavated from wooden coffins in the Samhan(三韓) area is a cast iron plow known as the Sengoku-kei(戰國系). These materials have similar morphological characteristics to those of the Warring States Period, but the period, which was examined as a companion relic, is no different from the late 2nd century B.C. Since there is a time difference of more than 100 years from Yeonguk(燕國) Ironware, it is necessary to assume Eman Chosun(尉滿朝鮮) as the main distributor of these ironware. In addition, cast iron ploughs excavated from Samhan area are divided into three main types. One is the shape of the Wiwon Yongyeon-dong, which is the same as the cast iron plow of Yeonguk(燕國) . The other has a large hole in its body . It appears to have been produced in Shandong(山東), China. The other is forged steel ploughs, which were produced in the Jinhan(辰韓) region. Through this, some iron ploughs in the Samhan region were distributed through Gojoseon, but others were imported from Shandong, China. Although it was self-produced based on this, it is believed that it was not regarded as a meaningful agricultural tool in the Samhan society.
