Abstract

In the 21st century, a new key challenge has emerged for nation-states, due to the creation of a network society. The process of globalization, which has received a new impetus as a result of the development of information and communication technologies, is increasingly threatening to absorb the national and original. New actors have started to appear alongside the traditional national players, in particular the netocrats (organizers of virtual networks). In the conditions of new reality, it becomes more and more urgent to maintain and develop one's own national features, civilizational pecularities and value systems in parallel with modernization in the network age.
