Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the methodological quality of meta-analysis research using the AMSTAR guideline tool. In order to achieve the purpose of research, researches related to `dance` and `meta-analysis` were collected from the academic database. The data collected through the process of data refinement were 11 subjects. Eleven research data were evaluated by methodological quality based on the AMSTAR guideline tool. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA. Analysis of 11 papers showed that the average AMSTAR quality score was 10 (7.27) and one (2.4%) was high. The difference in quality evaluation according to the research characteristics was significant The results of this study suggest a guideline for improving methodological quality of meta-analysis research related to dance and propose evidence-based meta-analysis study to secure reliability in literature selection and data extraction process. Based on the results of this study, it seems to be necessary to make a systematic approach to meta-analysis research related to dance.
