Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the mothers’ thermal sensation, wearing behavior and parenting attitudes on young children’s clothing. Eighteen mothers of 5 year old children (9 boys and 9 girls) participated in the study. The following results were obtained from the in-depth interviews and survey. First, in relation to clothing and health, most of the mothers responded sensitively to the clothing material and skin irritation and preferred to use natural clothing materials.
