Abstract
The article explores the value of using distance learning technologies at the present stage of ICT development in the process of preparation of future teachers of Informatics. The place and role of distance learning technologies in higher education. Noted is that with the development of the technical capabilities of the methods and technologies of training, funds training activities of the teacher are changing. There is an opportunity to use the new organizational forms of the educational process using ICT. Changing is the idea of what should be a modern person, what competences should one have. Today education focuses on the «free development», high culture, creativity, autonomy, mobility of future specialists.
