Abstract
The article discusses the basic conditions and framework for establishing priorities for the intensification of technological development of meso-level subjects. Important objective conditions have been identified that predetermine the directions of intensification of technological development. The range of problems that arise during the implementation of engineering projects that need to be solved at the meso level of the Russian national economy is described. A decomposition of enlarged groups of problems for various categories of meso-level subjects of the national economy was carried out. The key reasons for slow technological development at the meso level are considered. It is shown that the main source of these problems is the insufficiently developed level of ownership management culture, and the reasons for this phenomenon are identified. The basic priorities for increasing the intensity of economic activity on the scale of meso-level entities have been identified. The conditions and framework for scientific justification of priority directions for intensifying the technological development of meso-level entities in the context of tightening requirements for environmental, social and economic improvement of economic activity are specified.
