Abstract

The article touches upon the issues of preserving the professional health of employees of the penal system. The stages of the development of health psychology and its interaction with labor psychology are presented in detail. The components of professional health are analyzed and the features of the professional health of the domestic penitentiary system employees and the health determining factors are presented. The conditions for maintaining the health of the penitentiary system staff are considered. Examining the human conditions that appear in the process of work, scientists note the prevailing ones: fatigue, anxiety and emotional stress. Unfavorable conditions accompanying an employee from year to year indicate professional distress and become risk factors for the development of somatic diseases. Currently, the professional health of employees acts as a resource of the organization and has an impact on management and organizational processes. There are a number of professions that are dangerous and highly dangerous. Our research has revealed the factors leading to the deterioration of the health of the penitentiary system staff, and its manifestations characteristic for the penitentiary system employees. Psychological support of professional activity, including the preservation of professional health, should be carried out as a unified concept throughout all stages of service. Maintaining the professional health of the personnel of the UIS involves carrying out a set of measures aimed at reducing the impact of negative factors, harmonizing the internal state and external conditions of professional activity. Of great importance is the ability of employees to self-preservation. Psychological factors of professional safety are: professional and service motivation, moral and moral stability, stress resistance, low level of anxiety, adequate self-esteem, high learning ability, orientation to cooperation, communication, low conflict, the use of healthsaving technologies.
