Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine specific nature of discursive realisation peculiar to an individual conflict strategy adopted by the German politician Sahra Wagenknecht. Scientific novelty of the research lies in using the method of analysing the politician’s speech activity taking into account interaction and interdependence of individual and typical discourse strategies used by the politician in order to enhance persuasive speech activity in the process of struggle for power. The research findings have shown that identification and study of features peculiar to discursive realisation of different types of discursive strategies in their interconnection in various communicative situations allow the researcher to explore more profoundly individual styles of different politicians and also specificity of the political discourse system functioning in general as a background for interaction of its subjects.
