Abstract

The article presents a forecast of the socio-economic development of Russia and the world in a changing geopolitical reality. The results of changes in the economic situation in Russia that are already available from official statistics after the tightening of sanctions pressure from the collective West, both in terms of the emergence of logistical and financial difficulties, and in terms of decisions taken and implemented in the field of response to sanctions pressure, are studied. The events taking place in relations between Russia and the countries of the collective West are considered in the context of the general trend of reformatting the old American-centric geopolitical system into a multipolar one, which exacerbates competitive relations between the emerging world poles, such as American-Chinese contradictions/oracles. Based on the results of the work done, a system of proposals was formulated regarding the further modernization of the domestic economic model in order to increase the country's economic sovereignty.
