Abstract
The article defines the role of the grain-product subcomplex of the agroindustrial complex of Russia in ensuring the country's food security. The features of the functioning and development of the Russian grain product subcomplex in modern realities are outlined. It is noted that geopolitical tensions, economic sanctions and changes in the global food market situation are forcing Russia to look for new opportunities to sell agricultural products. The expediency of reorienting exports to developing countries in Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, as well as the need for a large-scale restructuring of export activities, is substantiated. The need for the development of a holistic scientifically based strategy for the development of Russian agricultural exports in order to improve the quality of strategic planning and management, as well as to ensure consistency of strategies at various levels (regional and municipal) is substantiated.
