Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the extent to which the content of biology books for the fifth grade biology includes the skills of scientific argument. The researchers followed the descriptive-analytical approach for its relevance to the goal of the research, and the research community was represented by all the biology books for the fifth grade biology for the academic year 2021 / 2022 AD. During his presentation to a group of arbitrators specialized in teaching methods and psychology, and thus the standard in its final form consisted of (5) main skills and (13) sub-skills, and it included (35) indicators Then the two researchers analyzed the content of biology books for the fifth grade biology in the light of this criterion, as the total of the analyzed pages reached (214) pages. Using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Microsoft Excel (Microsoft Excel 16), as well as frequencies and percentages, the results showed the lack of inclusion in biology books for the fifth grade of biology for the skills of scientific argument compared to the suggested percentage of experts (65%). .
