Abstract
Ecosystems, decentralized network structures capable of uniting a significant number of companies and enterprises, are playing an increasingly important role in modern economy and industry. This study is dedicated to analyzing the nature and main types of ecosystems emerging in various economic sectors and industries. The authors investigate the genesis of the concept of «ecosystem», first introduced by researchers from the field of biology. Various types of ecosystems are examined: business ecosystems, innovation ecosystems, industrial ecosystems and digital ecosystems.
