Abstract
The innovative activity of enterprises is influenced by a significant number of factors. At the same time, it is reasonable to assume that they are different for industries belonging to different technological paradigms. The aim of this study is to empirically determine the factors that influence the level of corporate innovative activity within industries that belong to the fourth and fifth technological order. Principal component analysis is used as the main method of the study. On one hand, the results demonstrate that for the industries belonging to the industries of the fourth technological paradigm, the acquisition of new technologies, taking into account the development of the country's economy, has a negative impact. On the other hand, the implementation of innovative activities by organizations, taking into account state support for innovative entrepreneurship, the development of the economy as a whole has a positive effect on innovation activity level. For the industries connected to the fifth technological paradigm, the level of development of the economy as a whole has a negative effect, and the positive effect is discovered of the implementation of innovative activities by organizations, including acquiring technology, taking into account the development of the economy as a whole; in terms of the transfer of new technologiy; taking into account government support.
