Abstract
Today, with the rapid development of the Internet, the security of personal information is gradually beginning to be appreciated by people, which has an important impact on people’s lives. From the point of view of personal information protection, in order to increase the level of information security, it is necessary to include encroachment on personal information of citizens in the sphere of criminal law, using the powers of criminal law to limit the behavior of citizens and ensure the security of personal information of citizens. This article mainly analyzes the need for criminal law protection of personal information and the current situation with the protection of personal information, as well as discusses effective countermeasures to achieve criminal law protection of personal information security.
