Abstract
This study begins with the observation that the production of content for electronic publications is increasing, and digital reading is expanding. It aims to examine strategies for revitalizing the e-publishing market. To this end, the study seeks to understand the perceptions of professionals in the domestic publishing ecosystem and related fields regarding the e-publishing market and reading environment. Furthermore, it aims to explore potential strategies for enhancing the e-publishing market and improving the digital reading environment in the future. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the e-publishing market is still in its growth phase, and there is a need to improve the awareness of publishers and authors about e-books. Second, from the perspectives of content production and distribution, the industry requires strategies to diversify content offerings while providing readers with novel and engaging e-book experiences. Third, supporting the discovery of “killer content” and exploring practical cases and methods for developing e-book content are crucial for fostering the growth of e-books. Based on these findings, this study is expected to serve as a valuable resource for identifying effective strategies for revitalizing the e-publishing market and promoting e-book adoption.
