Abstract

The problem of domestic violence in Russia has a special specificity. First, this is due to the high level of sensi-tivity of the problem. Hence, in order to obtain representative data, the study of this phenomenon should be conducted in a comprehensive manner, using the analysis of respondents' non-verbal reactions. This method-ology not only allows the researcher to competently interact with victims of domestic violence, but is also one of the most important aspects to be considered in developing a qualitative sociological toolkit as part of sensitivity questions. Classification of non-verbal characteristics, the most effective in carrying out sociological research, is given in the article. In addition, the article attempts to reveal the main results of a methodological experiment, the goal of which is to determine the presence or absence of nonverbal characteristics, indicating the respond-ents' belonging to a group of domestic violence victims.
