Abstract

The given paper considers problems of a dynamic impact of rolling stock on a track in curves and singles out main power factors influencing a tilt angle of rolling stock: guiding efforts, turning the crew; centrifugal force tending to tilt crew body in an outward direction; additional inertial forces called by the appearance of linear angular acceleration at crew yawing rotation. Main criteria and restrictions determining the choice of reasonable value of a high-speed train body tilt angle for railways with a gauge of 1520 mmaccording to which we can calculate tilt angle have been elaborated, namely: the provision of equal wear of rails of both lines on the basis of admitted cant of the track; the provision of the necessary comfort for passengers on high-speed trains; the provision of strength and stability of the track and safety of high-speed running; the provision of geometric blending of rolling stock in track dimensions while moving in curves.
