Abstract

The paper presents the results of studying the immunostimulating properties of chitosan in the design of a vaccine against infectious rhinotracheitis in cattle. The optimal concentration of chitosan succinate as an adjuvant of the vaccine against infectious bovine rhinotracheitis was established at 0.5%. At the same time, the optimal interval between immunizations was 21 days. The work shows that the use of chitosan succinate as an adjuvant can significantly increase the level of post-vaccination immunity by 5.33 log2 in rabbits, which indicates the high adjuvant properties of chitosan.
