Abstract

The purpose of the article is to identify the possibilities of ethnopedagogy in the process of preparing future teachers for the formation of national identity of adolescents. The relevance of the development of national identity in adolescence is substantiated. Some means of ethnopedagogy that contribute to the formation of national consciousness of schoolchildren are presented. A number of forms of work with students focused on the formation of national identity, using ethnopedagogical sources, are described. Proposals are made to make changes to the educational, educational work of the school in order to strengthen the process of educating students’ patriotism. The results of the experience of preparing future teachers for the use of ethnopedagogy in educational work are proposed.
