Abstract

The presented work is aimed at solving issues related to ensuring the safety of mining operations in the preparatory workings of mines from the point of view of the forecast of gas dynamic phenomena. The results of a study of gas dynamic activity in the bottom-hole part of a coal seam using an innovative device that allows you to evaluate changes in the gas content of the formation along the line from the bottom to the geostatic stress zone during preparatory workings are presented. It is proposed to develop a method for the current forecast of the emission hazard based on the assessment of methane production and a new approach to assessing the gas dynamic hazard of the formation, which will increase the rate of movement and ensure the safety of mining operations.
