Abstract

The article clarifies the concept of “creative skills in music” based on a systematic analysis of the phenomenon of creative skills from the standpoint of psychology, poetics, and art pedagogy. In the psychological sense, creative skills in music are the result of the synergy of emotional-perceptive and cognitive actions of an individual, which are expressed as fantasizing and constructing relatively new musical artifacts or ways of creative activity. In the poetic aspect, creative skills in music are defined as the technique (in the broadest sense of the word) of using musical sound, musical language and means of musical rhetoric, in particular genre and style models. Based on this understanding of creative skills in music, the basic possibilities of their formation using modern electronic equipment (computer, sound synthesizer, Internet) are outlined.
