Abstract

The article analyzes the American approach to the integration of foreign students into the political and sociocultural space of the country. The authors highlight the targeting system as a feature of the American model, which allows in the process of selecting candidates and their enrollment to conduct a comprehensive assessment of applicants in terms of qualitative indicators, such as political orientation, civic position, integration into the social system at home, etc. Moreover, the authors emphasize the role of education and international academic mobility in the 21st century.
