Abstract

The article is devoted to the relevant problem of tonal dramaturgy in modern domestic music, which is analysed by the example of G. Dmitriev’s concert music for flute and chamber orchestra “Sybil”. The paper identifies and describes the peculiarities and techniques of its tonal dramaturgy that are typical of the composer’s orchestral style. Providing a detailed analysis of the musical text, the researcher concludes that “Sybil” manifests the key principles of Dmitriev’s orchestral style, which the composer himself defines as “dialogic dramaturgy” and “author’s commentary”.
