Abstract

The paper presents the results of the author’s research aimed at creating a methodology for identifying the internal causes of conflict in organizations. It also provides a summary of the results of applying this particular methodology as a key element of the management decision support mechanism for effective management of internal conflicts in organizations. In addition, the paper structures a tool useful to managers in seeking solutions to cope with the causes of conflict and to select the most appropriate strategies and methods for managing them in their organizations. Exploring the internal causes of conflict in an organization outlines what the objective needs are to adequately build on the existing conflict culture in organizations.
