Abstract
Digital storytelling is a continually evolving area that presents an increasing research interest even if it exists many years and however how many other forms of storytelling are used in learning environments. At the same time digital skills have already been recognized since the beginning of the 21st century by the European Union as key skills for personal development the citizens. In this paper, the results of research regarding the benefits of digital storytelling are presented. Digital storytelling helps in many aspects such as developing effective communication skills and experiences in specific areas such as: Interactive communication, interpersonal skills, personal and social responsibility, technological literacy, basic and visual literacy, curiosity, creativity and risk-taking. The research was carried out in 2022 on a sample of 57 teachers in high Schools in the city of Ptolemaida, who have made use of digital storytelling in the 2021-2022 school year.
