Abstract

The article presents the results of the study on the possibility of modification of negative self-attitude of women who suffered domestic violence in the course of group psychological counselling. The study revealed that women had an intrapersonal conflict, distorted ego alter expressed in expecting negative attitude on the part of other people, a high level of self-accusation, selfacceptance decrement. Group counselling arranged in keeping with the stage-by-stage principle, special temporal arrangement of the modification process, content orientation of modification techniques (diagnostic, modelling, training, transforming) on the display of negative self-attitude highly contributes to positive transformations of cognitive and emotional components of self-attitude of women, who became victims of domestic violence, which has been confirmed statistically.
