Abstract

Technogenic underwater noise is a type of anthropogenic pollution of the marine environment. Offshore oil and gas facilities, transport and icebreaking ships, as well as port infrastructure located in the waters of the Russian shelf and along the Northern Sea Route can be considered as its main sources. The authors conclude it necessary to formulate and implement a Comprehensive Target Program with the purpose of systemic research, regulation and standardization of the underwater noise parameters of various types of marine facilities.
