Abstract
Objective: This study aimed to analyze the social benefits generated by community-based health promotion group interventions for older adults in comparison to their costs. Methods: Three community-based health promotion group intervention studies conducted in Wonju city were analyzed. Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis was performed based on guidelines from previous studies. Results: The results showed that all group intervention programs for older adults generated high social value relative to their costs. Moreover, significant social value was created for participating researchers who designed and delivered the interventions. Conclusion: This study demonstrates the effectiveness of applying SROI methodology for developing and evaluating health promotion group intervention programs for older adults. Future research should focus on developing objective measures and indicators to evaluate the social value of interventions across occupational therapy, healthcare, and social welfare sectors.
