Abstract

The implementation of the generation unit of direct-chaotic signals based on the dynamic Lorentz system for a field programmable gate array is described in this article. The unit was designed for generating wide-band chaotic signals for “real-time” systems. The calculation of the Lorentz nonlinear dynamic system is carried out in the formats with floating point and the half-precision fixed point. The main task goal is optimization and minimization of using the digital signal processing blocks of field programmable gate array crystal. A comparative analysis of the realization of the generation unit for required resources with the realization based on the floating point in the format and the half-precision fixed point format which is also described in this article
