Abstract

The main features of introduction of infocommunication technologies in practice of higher school and modern tendencies of use of infocommunication technologies in high institutions are considered in the article. Possibilities for improvement of educational process in high institutions which arise at introduction of infocommunication technologies are defined. The advantages of application of infocommunication technologies in higher institutions are formulated. The problems of introduction of infocommunication technologies in the practice of higher institutions are analyzed and possible obstacles are identified. The term «competitiveness of higher education» is studied. The influence of infocommunication technologies on increasing the competitiveness of higher education institutions is determined. Prospects for the development of infocommunication technologies in universities are outlined. Recommendations for the integration of information technology in higher institutions practice are given.
