Abstract
This article summarizes clinical results in treating corneal erosions and ulcers (10 clinical cases) that arose as a complication following prolonged treatment of hypertensive glaucoma. Because glaucoma negatively affects corneal regeneration, healing such corneal defects becomes a complicated and difficult process, frequently accompanied by additional complications and decreased vision quality. For this reason, discovering effective treatments for such corneal defects remains an important goal of veterinary ophthalmologists. The article proposes a modern treatment plan wherein a regenerative drug is used to stimulate the regenerative processes in damaged corneal tissues and to regulate the inflammatory process. Our results show that the regenerative drug successfully accelerated the regeneration of the corneal defect and improved the quality of recovery.
