Abstract
Despite the existence of sanctions restrictions, barriers that hinder the development of innovative activities, the study of the issue of innovative development of the economic system is a very relevant and timely issue. The purpose of the article is the consideration of methods that allow stimulating the development of innovative activity of the Russian Federation in the conditions of sanctions restrictions, the regions that occupy leading positions in the rating of innovative development – the city of Moscow and the Republic of Tatarstan – are selected as the object.
