Abstract

Introduction. The article deals with the organization of information exchange between vehicles and the monitoring server during the transportation of dangerous goods in the absence of a stable wireless communication channel. The advantages of technical solutions based on the technology of DTN networks, tolerant to delays, are described. Aims and purposes. The aim of the study is to improve safety of the transportation of dangerous goods by various modes of transport by ensuring reliable information exchange in the networks of the vehicle condition monitoring system. The main objectives of the study were to develop an algorithm for transmitting data from the local network of a vehicle to a DTN node using the Bundle protocol, as well as to develop a schematic diagram of a device for organizing information exchange between a vehicle and DTN nodes in a heterogeneous monitoring network. Methods. The study used the methods of system analysis, the theory of computer networks, the basic concepts of the theory of algorithms. Results and discussion. A description of the data transfer algorithm and a schematic diagram of a device for organizing information exchange between a vehicle and DTN nodes in a heterogeneous monitoring network using the Bundle protocol are given. The advantage of the proposed scheme is to provide the possibility of organizing reliable two-way information communication between the vehicle and the monitoring server via satellite communication channels, as well as via mobile communication channels in the presence of a stable network signal. Conclusions. The organization of information exchange between DTN nodes in the monitoring network using the Bundle protocol contributes to solve the problem of uninterrupted data transfer between vehicles carrying dangerous goods and the dispatch center.
