Abstract

The purpose of the research is to develop a model of interaction between the concepts ONE’S OWN and ALIEN in the conditions of the Russian-speaking diaspora discourse of China. Scientific novelty of the study lies in analysing in a comprehensive manner the “one’s own - alien” dichotomy as a basic model of formation of the evaluation category, which is implemented in the discourse of the largest Internet community of the Russian-speaking diaspora in China “A Laowai’s Tales” on the social network VKontakte. The work resulted in the description of the concepts ONE’S OWN and ALIEN under the influence of a different national-cultural conceptual sphere, in the reconstruction of a model of opposition of these concepts, as well as in the identification of trends in the interaction and transformation of the concepts ONE’S OWN and ALIEN in the diaspora discourse.
