Abstract

He study proposes an approach to introducing original field materials on oral history and ethnography of the Russian population into the educational process. The use of such materials is aimed at developing in the younger generation a national civic consciousness, regional and national identity, a culture of interethnic communication and a respectful attitude towards the culture of the peoples of Russia. The use of field materials is shown in the example of a high school (course “History of the Gorny Altai. Grade 8”) and is aimed at eliminating the imbalance in the coverage of regional ethnocultural topics. An option for implementing a system-activity approach using the author’s field materials is presented using the example of considering the topic “Free peasant and government colonization of the territory of the Gorny Altai.”
