Abstract

The article analyses the basic problems of developing work on the educational program “National Instruments of the Peoples of Russia” in Kemerovo State University of Culture and Arts over the seven-year period (2011-2018). The authors identify the main tasks when forming the students’ up-to-date professional competences and show the ways to solve them. The paper considers the factors raising the competitiveness of the university graduates trained according to the educational program “National Instruments of the Peoples of Russia”. The tendencies of instrumental folklore development in modern professional musical education are examined with a view to interpret, summarize and share the accumulated experience. According to the authors, it helps to preserve and develop the Russian national instrumental culture.
